press, advanced understanding of the parts of the press (crankshaft,
gears, ram adjustment, counterbalance system, brake monitor etc,)
Parts of the hydraulic press,
advanced understanding of the parts of the press (reservoir, hydraulic
cylinders, etc,)
How to conduct pre shift
inspections
Lock-out procedures and
following the procedures correctly
Use of blocking devices
and proper installation
Understanding the different
types of guards and guarding devices and how they operate
Understanding their role
in an entrapment rescue situation
Proper set up and clamping
of dies in the machine
How to adjust the air-counterbalance
system and the different types of counterbalance systems
Housekeeping
