Coaching Training
|
Executive coaching training in the workplace and how to evoke employee excellence. Command and control are no longer effective means of evoking excellence in employees' results. Learning how to be an effective coach of other people's results requires a deep understanding of personality diversity and how to tap into the strengths of others. This one-on-one coaching session for personal success consists of the following components: Personality strengths, executive presence, and problem-solving strategies. These components provide a useful context for facilitating effective interactions in the workplace. Understanding personality strengths and potential blind spots increases our awareness of our impact on others and assists us in identifying whether we come across as strong, weak, compromising, or overbearing. With
increased understanding of our personal patterns comes the ability to
take greater risks using effective communication strategies.
I. Personality Strengths And Executive PresenceThis part of the workshop increases self-awareness and clarifies self-perceptions. Executives learn how to capitalize on their strengths as well as the strengths of others. A. Maximizing Interactions With OthersThis series of activities is designed to build on understanding behavioural patterns by asking the question, "How do I see my behaviours when getting work done with and through others?" The executive continues their self-analysis by viewing their behaviours against the backdrop of personality preferences and addresses the question, "How does my personality influence my behaviours with others?" B. Learning Strategies For Managing Executive PresenceA number of exercises follow to develop awareness of the dynamics of relationships and addresses the questions: "How do I recognize someone else's strengths? How do I maximize my relationships with other?" II. Problem Solving StrategiesThis problem-solving interactive process provides a dynamic strategic approach to addressing key developmental issues. In this part of the one-on-one coaching, we take the challenges of executive presence uncovered and clarified in Part I and build a strategic approach for addressing the issues in a systematic way.
The executive explores a current issue, taking a structured approach for resolving their professional problem area. A problem is defined as the gap between the current reality and the expected outcome. If there is no gap, there is no problem. No matter what the problem is, this process can lead to improved professional solutions. Communication Process Part III of the one-on-one coaching process takes place approximately a month after Parts I and II. Here we cover the following: We address any problems, issues, insights or concerns of being back on the job with action items from the previous two coaching components. We work on listening and verbal skills through role-plays and feedback. This will assist in making more distinctions when communicating with others.
Benefits: With increased understanding of our personal patterns comes the ability to take greater risks using effective communication strategies. Personal understanding facilitates effective application of differences when problem-solving for powerful results. Where Do We Train?
