The Emergency Preparedness
Training provides participants with a working knowledge of the OHSA Act
and Regulations affecting your workplace.
This training also
familiarizes participants with additional legislation that could involve
their type of business.
Course
Content:
- Why are we
here.
- Review of
the OHSA Act and how to look up relevant references.
- Review of
the duties the employer, supervisor, worker under the Act.
- Definition
of “due diligence”.
- Familiarization
with the roles, composition and legal responsibilities of the
Joint Health and Safety Committee and the “certified” Health and
Safety Representatives.
- Highlighting
the correct way to handle a Work Refusal, legally.
- Explaining
how an “Internal Responsibility System” is designed.
- Defining
offences and penalties under Section 66 of the Act.
- Quiz on finding
things in the Act and explaining any incorrect answers.
